Security forces killed at least 14 terrorists in a 'sanitisation' operation near the Sambaza area of Zhob district on the night of August 8 and 9, the military said in a statement on Saturday

According to the military's media wing, weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from those killed. The statement added that security forces remain committed to safeguarding the country’s frontiers and thwarting attempts to undermine peace, stability and progress.

The action followed earlier engagements in the same area on August 7 and 8, in which 33 terrorists were killed, bringing the total to 47 in two days of counter-terrorism operations.
