Knowledge has been at the forefront for offensive lineman Lionel "LJ" Prudhomme since he officially reported to the University of Arkansas in late spring.

But that notion shouldn't come as a shock, not with the way he meticulously handled defenders during his time at Shreveport Captain Shreve High School.

Last season, the 6-3, 295-pounder was the backbone of a Gators' offense that averaged 48 points per game and generated almost 6,000 total yards. He even got in on the scoring act when he got a rushing touchdown during an early-season 40-20 victory over Natchitoches (La.) Central.

That play was a microcosm of what one of Louisiana's most coveted players brought to the field for Captain Shreve, but it's the time he put in to hone his craft that likely went unnoticed.
