Darlington County Park closed Friday afternoon after harmful algae blooms were found in the water, Bergen County officials said.

The park temporarily closed Friday at noon, but is expected to reopen on Sunday, according to Bergen County officials.

All water and non-water recreational activities will be unavailable during the closure, officials said.

“The Bergen County Parks Department is working diligently to address the issue and reopen the park for water and non-water recreational activities as quickly and safely as possible,” Bergen County officials said in a statement.

Refunds will be automatically issued to guests who purchased Splash Zone tickets online for the periods while the park is closed, officials said.
