AEW President Tony Khan has provided an unfortunate update on the status of “Switchblade” Jay White, confirming that the Bang Bang Gang leader is expected to be out of action “for a long time.” White has been on the shelf since suffering a hand injury in April.

Appearing on the My Mom’s Basement podcast, Tony Khan was asked about White’s status. He confirmed that the injury is serious and will require a significant recovery period.

“Jay White is one of the best wrestlers in the world and got injured along the way,” Khan said. “He is out, and unfortunately, is going to be out for a long time.”
