In February of 2025 the fair’s president, Haley Rose, noticed that close to $20,000 was missing from their registered bank account. Article content

An investigation was launched by the Frontenac detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, which led to the arrest of the fair’s treasurer, 42-year-old Courtney Pare of Verona, who has been charged with theft over $5,000 related to the incident. The charges have not been proven in court.
