Older drivers are being reminded they could be stopped from getting behind the wheel unless they complete an important task.
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is reminding motorists that their licence automatically expires when they turn 70.
It means that you cannot legally drive and must get it renewed if you want to stay on the roads.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, the DVLA said: "You need to renew your licence when you turn 70.
"Do it online now – it's easy, quick and secure."

According to Gov.uk, it is free to renew your driving licence with the DVLA if you are over 70 or due to turn 70 within the next 90 days.
