STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — As fall closes in, AccuWeather is giving pumpkin spice fans a heads up with its 2025 fall forecast — and they’re not going to be happy about it.
Unfortunately those yearning for sweater weather will have to wait, as the transition to cooler temperatures will be prolonged this year. Warm and humid temperatures will linger across the eastern U.S. for the start of autumn, according to AccuWeather.
“A slower transition to fall is expected along much of the East Coast from the Carolinas to parts of the Northeast and even New England,” said AccuWeather lead long-range expert Paul Pastelok. “There will be some heat and humidity hanging around as kids start heading back to school.
