Deputy Chief Terry McCord retires after 28 years with Danville Police Department

DANVILLE — Hand-written tickets and reports, that’s how Terry McCord remembers his first years as police officer in Rossville.

Now, after 30 years of law enforcement and 28 years with the Danville Police Department, McCord is retiring to become a full-time criminal justice instructor at Danville Area Community College, beginning on Aug. 18.
