WATSONVILLE — Salinas’ Caleb Debem extended his Ocean Sprints points lead during Friday night’s Hall of Fame Night at Ocean Speedway, where all four divisions featured narrow battles for victory.

San Jose native Jeff Silva, the 1990 and ’91 track champion, was inducted into the Hall of Fame during the opening ceremony. He was a top-five driver in the region from ’88-91, including No. 1 in ’91.

Cotati’s Jake Haulot paced time trials for the Taco Bravo Sprints. Gilroy’s Kurt Nelson, in his farewell season, snared the Gizdich Ranch Dash to earn the pole for the 25-lap feature.
