EAST POULTNEY, Vt. (WCAX) - Saturday, the Poultney Historical Society celebrated its 90th East Poultney Day. The theme switches around each year and this time it helped bring awareness to the anniversary of the start of the American Revolution.
The organization helped educate people about the Allen brothers and their role in the green mountain boys and the settling of the town, through speakers, classrooms and games.
Well the town was just starting then so it’s important to know what the Allen brothers of the Green Mountain Boys were putting together at the time,” said Krista Rupe, Poultney Historical Society President, “it’s important to educate people and give them a little fun at the same time so this event is able to do that because it’s very friendly to families and to history buf
