OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - We started off the day with storms that gave Omaha an early wake up call, bringing winds that that topped 80 miles per hour. Now, we’re on First Alert for another chance of severe weather later tonight.
This evening will be humid, warm but overall mild with storm chances likely holding off until after 9 p.m.
Storm chances will start to increase during the later evening hours, with the best chance for the metro likely after midnight.
As the storms begin to develop, the best chance will be south of the metro.
Storms will be slow moving, likely dumping a lot of rain wherever they develop.
There is a 2/5 isolated risk for all areas seen here in yellow. The main threat with these storms will be flooding but we could also see winds gusting up to 70 mph as well as up to
