A young girl who leapt from a two-storey flat in an attempt to escape alleged abuse was living in 'horrendous' conditions prior to her tragic death, according to police reports. ‌

Rebekah Baptiste, 10, was discovered by police on a highway in Holbrook, north Arizona, not breathing and severely injured on July 27, as per reports citing the Apache County Sheriff's Office. She was swiftly taken to Little Colorado Medical Centre in Winslow, Arizona by emergency services. ‌
