COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A crash left one person dead in northeastern Colorado Springs on Saturday.

Colorado Springs police said they got a report of a crash on North Union Boulevard, at the intersection of Garmish Road, around 6 p.m. That’s a little north of the Union and Vickers intersection.

Police said the crash involved a motorcycle and an SUV. They initially said they believed the motorcycle rider was heading north on Union, but they were still investigating what happened to cause the crash.

After the crash, police said bystanders were reportedly performing CPR on the rider, but they said that rider died on the scene.

As the coroner and investigators arrived, lanes of Union were shut down for hours.

The crash is still under investigation.
