BULLHEAD CITY, AZ (AZFamily) — Police are investigating after an elderly couple was found dead in their Bullhead City home early Saturday morning.

Police say that around 8:30 a.m., officers responded to a home in the 700 block of Palo Verde Drive after concerned family members called 911, unable to contact their mother. Relatives said that they went into the backyard, looked through a window and saw a man lying in the kitchen.

When officers got to the house, they found an 82-year-old man and an 81-year-old woman dead inside. A dog was also found dead.

Police say the circumstances surrounding the couple’s deaths are suspicious. Detectives are working to determine what may have led up to their deaths. At this time, officers do not believe anyone else entered their home or was involved
