A female driver suffered minor injuries when her car Honda flipped over on a "narrow" street in Long Beach on Saturday morning, according to Long Beach Fire Department Chief John Marino.

The crash happened on Mitchell Avenue around 11 a.m. and the "middle-aged" woman "was trapped in the car" when firefighters responded roughly four minutes after the accident occurred, Marino said.

"She was talking to us. We removed the windshield to get her out," the chief told Newsday, saying the woman was transported to a hospital with "cuts, little bruises, that’s really it. Minor injuries."

The street was shut down for "roughly an hour" as first responders cleared the turned-over vehicle from the road, Marino said.
