RAISING A RED FLAG Article content

I live in the rural south of Ottawa and have mail delivered to a mailbox at the end of my driveway. Article content Article content

Whenever mail is delivered, the postman raises a plastic marker indicating that mail has been delivered. This has been the case for decades.

The other day, I received a letter indicating that the postman will no longer raise the indicator flag that mail has been delivered.

At a time when the postal service is struggling to survive and its employees are looking for salary increases, they decide to offer less for more. They have made themselves even more irrelevant, more unnecessary.

Good planning, Canada Post!
