MACEDONIA, Ohio — One constant remains the same at Medina. The Bees have speed to burn at wide receiver.

It remains a strength with an aggressive passing game under coach Larry Laird, who turned to then-sophomore River Blomquist late last season as his starter.

Blomquist had a full offseason to prepare as the starter, while Beckett Vogrin, who entered last season in a camp battle with Cason Diullio at quarterback, is now at tight end.

“He’s worked his tail off,” senior receiver Brian Wuchter said Saturday after a four-team scrimmage at Nordonia. “Nobody works as hard as River Blomquist. During the winter, he was in there every Wednesday and every Saturday throwing, watching film with Coach Laird.
