Connor Zilisch suffered a scary incident in victory lane at Watkins Glen International. Zilisch won the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Watkins Glen and coasted to the winner's circle. The JR Motorsports driver climbed out of his No. 88 car; however, he fell off the roof and hit the ground hard. Zilisch was placed on a backboard, taken to a local hospital, and diagnosed with a serious injury.

Zilisch broke his collarbone after falling from his No. 88 car in victory lane. Thankfully, the 19-year-old driver's head scans were clear, indicating that he did not suffer a concussion. Unfortunately, Zilisch must deal with a broken collarbone, and it's unclear when he will return to the No. 88 Xfinity car for JR Motorsports.

A broken collarbone typically takes six to 12 weeks to heal; however, this doesn't mean Zillisch will be out of his No. 88 car during that period. It will take time for Zilisch to be 100 percent, but he could return to JR Motorsports sooner if he is able to drive. For now, Zilisch must focus on his recovery and return when he is cleared.
