YOUNG, AZ (AZFamily) — Authorities in Gila County say the Billy Fire continues to grow as firefighters lose some containment on the blaze burning in the Tonto National Forest, about 60 miles east of Payson.

On Sunday morning, wildland officials announced evacuations for Ellison Ranch. Last week, evacuations were ordered for Murphy Ranch. No other areas are currently being evacuated at this time.

The U.S. Forest Service has confirmed that a community meeting has been scheduled for 4 p.m. on Monday at the Pleasant Valley Community Center.

In the meantime, firefighters are expected to work around the Rose Creek area throughout the day, and deploy a night shift to allow crews to gain a better handle on the blaze during the cooler overnight hours. Fire officials also said the Aztec Lookout
