The Detroit Lions lost three players to season-ending injuries in their preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Lions placed tight end Kenny Yeboah and offensive linemen Colby Sorsdal and Justin Herron on injured reserve Sunday, and waived running back Jabari Small with an injury settlement.

Herron was injured during pregame warmups on Friday, Aug. 8, and left the field with trainers. He signed as injury replacement for backup offensive tackle Dan Skipper, who hurt his ankle in the Lions' preseason opener July 31 against the Los Angeles Chargers .
