LAS VEGAS (KLAS) - Police arrested a man accused of setting a fire outside LVMPD headquarters.
On Sunday, officers identified the suspect as Christian Vega, 35, and arrested him. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of third-degree arson and one count of malicious destruction of private property.
On Saturday, an LVMPD employee noticed a fire along the west property wall of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s headquarters near MLK Boulevard and Alta Drive.
The Las Vegas Fire Department responded and quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported and no buildings were damaged, police said.
