VACAVILLE, Calif. —

A man was killed in a shooting near a gas station in Vacaville on Sunday evening, according to the police department.

Officers responded to the report of a shooting in the area of the ARCO gas station at Leisure Town Road and Orange Drive.

Officials said one man was shot and despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Residents are urged to avoid the area. Beyond the gas station, there are several other businesses near the investigation.

Officials have not yet shared any information about a potential suspect or details about what led up to the shooting.
