Firefighters were battling a devastating blaze at a historic former hotel in Droitwich Spa overnight.

The blaze ripped through the Grade ll-listed Raven Hotel building on St Andrews Street yesterday afternoon, August 10.

The roof caved in at the building, which has been derelict for more than a decade, as locals watched on in disbelief.

Images on social media shared this morning showed the building severely damaged following the blaze.

Outline permission was agreed in 2022 to allow the partial demolition, repair, refurbishment and conversion of the building for a residential, hospitality and leisure scheme.
