The A38 in Plymouth is closed this afternoon (Monday, August 11) after a car flipped onto its side. Traffic is being diverted off the road as long tailbacks form between Manadon and Weston Mill.

Plymouth Highways has told motorists that the A38 is closed eastbound due to a flipped car. it said: "The A38 Eastbound is closed at St Budeaux bypass due to a car on its side. All traffic is being diverted down through St Budeaux bypass".

Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, also reported the incident at 11.55am. It said: "A38 Expressway Eastbound closed, queueing traffic due to overturned vehicle from A3064 (Weston Mill) to A386 Outland Road (Manadon Roundabout)."
