A presentation and discussion on the 2025-28 library strategic plan for the Apache Junction Public Library is planned Thursday.

The Apache Junction Library Board is to hold a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, in the council chambers, 300 E. Superstition Blvd., to discuss the plan.

The primary responsibility of this board is to inform and advise the City Council on matters of public interest and need in relation to the resources and services of the Apache Junction Public Library. The board also recommends the policy for governing, control and improvement of the Library and promote the public’s awareness of the services available at the library. There are seven members who must be city residents and are appointed to serve three-year terms. The board meets on an as-needed basi
