DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A man barricaded himself inside a Lexington home Monday morning during an attempt by U.S. Marshals to serve multiple felony and misdemeanor arrest warrants , the Davidson County Sheriff's Office said.
At about 6:30 a.m., the Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force went to a residence on Old US Highway 52 in Davidson County to arrest the suspect on warrants from Forsyth County, including felony probation violation, fleeing to elude arrest, driving with a revoked license, misdemeanor child abuse, and possession of stolen goods.
The man refused to comply and barricaded himself inside. Law enforcement agencies, including the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, Lexington and Thomasville police, and the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT), responded to assist.
