A popular coastal pub has been given an £80k makeover with a new look inside and out. And the The Inn on the Shore has a new addition - a surf-themed outdoor bar serving up drinks and pizzas.

The Downderry pub's The Barrel Bar has replaced another unused outdoor bar. Bosses say it's been transformed into an "oceanfront haven" with stunning sea views - and visitors can also grab a slice of pizza to tuck into on the beach.

The new outdoor space joins the pub's popular alfresco terrace. Inside, the pub's bar has a fresh new look, said to give it "added charm and elegance".
