UNION, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Union City Police said that they arrested a man for assaulting a woman in a restroom on Aug. 6.

Police responded to the McDonald’s on 605 North Duncan Bypass to a report of sexual assault. An employee said that Eugene Peake, 59, had been harassing her since he had arrived for his shift that morning.

Officials said the victim was washing her hands in the restroom when Peake entered and walked towards her. She backed up against the wall while holding her hands out and telling Peake to get away from her.

Reports said that Peake proceeded to force himself upon her, touching her inappropriately. She continued to fight and tell him to stop, and Peake eventually stopped and left the restroom.
