EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Evansville Water and Sewer Utility will temporarily switch the disinfectant used in the water treatment process for the final time this year on Aug. 18.
From Aug. 18 through Sept. 29, EWSU will switch the disinfectant used in the water treatment process to free chlorine, from the regularly used disinfectant chloramine.
The switch is a common preventive maintenance practice that helps ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe drinking water to our customers year-round, according to EWSU.
