BUCKEYE, Ariz. — A West Valley school district is scheduled to issue a public apology Monday night following an investigation into the conduct of one of its board members.

The Aug. 11 meeting agenda for the Liberty Elementary School District Governing Board includes a section dedicated to addressing the findings of a probe conducted by the Ledbetter Law Firm regarding concerns of a "hostile work environment" involving board member Kellie Zimmerman.

The law firm concluded there was "clear and convincing evidence" of there being a lack of professionalism.

"If an Employee acted in the same manner as the Respondent, they would reasonably anticipate termination," the law firm's report states.
