ATLANTA, Ga. - An Atlanta-based rapper has been identified as the victim of a shooting that happened on Friday night in Gwinnett County.
Police confirmed the identity of the victim as 33-year-old Tevin Hood - better known as rapper T-Hood - of Snellville.
CDC employees speak out about deadly shooting on campus
On the sidewalk outside the CDC in Atlanta, there are frightened employees and a growing memorial of flowers for fallen officer David Rose.
Hood was shot at a home in the 3900 block of Lee Road. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died, according to police.
According to multiple reports, Hood was a well-known artist in the Southern rap world. He released songs such as “READY 2 GO” and “Perculator.”
He last posted to Instagram about a week ago.
