HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police arrested a 44-year-old man who was caught stealing part of a copper rain gutter on Sunday.
According to police, a woman spotted the suspect removing the copper rain gutter from a building on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus at around 2:38 p.m.
Police located and arrested the suspect about an hour later at 3:56 p.m.
The suspect was placed under arrest for theft of copper after police found him in possession of 17 lbs worth.
The suspect is in custody. An investigation is pending.
