BOONVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The son of a missing Boonville woman has filed a lawsuit against the city’s police department, claiming he was falsely targeted as a suspect in her disappearance.

It has been more than six years since Donna Hatfield disappeared from her home in Boonville.

Her son, Thomas Rainey Jr., claims police violated his civil rights by wrongly accusing him in his own mother’s disappearance.

Now, he’s fighting back by filing a lawsuit against not just Boonville Police, but the entire City.

As for Donna Hatfield, her whereabouts remain unknown more than six years after she was last seen.
