A man waiting for his family outside a store in Braintree, Massachusetts, was stabbed during an attempted carjacking Sunday night.
Braintree police said a 54-year-old Quincy man was sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle in front of a store on Grossman Drive around 8 p.m. Sunday, waiting for his family members, who were inside shopping.

A person approached the vehicle and started talking to the man through the open driver's window. Without warning, the person pulled out a knife and ordered the man to get out, saying, "You have insurance, get out of the car."
A struggle ensued, and police said the Quincy man sustained laceration-type injuries to his forearm, hand and upper chest.
