NEW ORLEANS —

The first Trader Joe's location in New Orleans is set to open this week.

According to an announcement on Trader Joe's website, the store at 2501 Tulane Ave. is set to open on Thursday, Aug. 14. Advertisement

An opening ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. before the store opens to shoppers.

This location is one of two Trader Joe's locations opening in New Orleans.

The second location is in Uptown and will be at the corner of Napoleon Avenue and Freret Street.

Trader Joe's is a national grocery store chain known for low prices and unique products.
