KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Applications are now being accepted for the Golden Hill Apartments housing lottery in Kingston, according to Ulster County officials. The application window will close on October 7.

"The opening of the Golden Hill housing lottery represents the final step towards welcoming Kingston residents into their brand-new homes and realizing our vision of a sustainable, diverse community," said Dylan Salmons, regional vice president at Pennrose, the project's co-developer.

The 164-unit affordable housing community will be available to households earning between 30% and 80% of the area median income. Almost half of the apartments will be reserved for seniors, aged 62 and older.
