MINNEAPOLIS — On a third-and-8 late in the first quarter Saturday afternoon, Houston quarterback Davis Mills whipped a pass to receiver Jaylin Noel, where he was met in the backfield by Minnesota Vikings safety Kahlef Hailassie.

The third-year defensive back wrapped up Noel, but rather than take him down for a loss of yards, the rookie receiver broke free and bowled forward a 9-yard gain and a first down.

Mills found receiver Braxton Berrios on the very next play for a score, amplifying the missed tackle even more.

Buried on the depth chart, Hailassie needed to bounce back in a big way to keep his hopes of a 53-man roster spot alive.

Then the fourth quarter came.

Hailassie recorded back-to-back interceptions on the Texans' final two drives to help the Vikings secure a 20-10 victory
