STONE COUNTY, Mo. -- A single-vehicle crash five miles east of Reeds Spring killed a man from Branson on Monday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, the 71-year-old man was eastbound on 3449 State Highway 248 in a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the highway and struck a tree.

The driver was transported by the Taney County Ambulance District to Cox Branson Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The next of kin have been notified of his passing.

This is the 76th fatality in MSHP Troop D in 2025.
