The IAW Health Program at the Grand River Community Health Centre is thrilled to be coordinating the annual Farms of Norfolk Soccer Tournament, the centre’s executive director says.

“This is a natural fit for us,” Lynda Kohler said Sunday as teams of international farm workers played on the Norfolk County Youth Soccer pitches on West Street in Simcoe.

Based in Brantford, the centre provides primary care to international farm workers through a partnership with the Norfolk Family Health Team and the Haldimand Family Health Team.

Kohler said the health centre became involved with the tournament through its founder – Carrie Sinkowski – and is thrilled to be carrying on the tradition.
