Donalds Praises President Trump’s Action to Restore Law and Order in D.C.

Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) released a statement today in support of President Donald Trump’s “sweeping action” to address what he described as an “epidemic of crime” in the nation’s capital. The President’s initiative includes a Presidential Memorandum and an Executive Order aimed at restoring law and order in the District of Columbia.

The Presidential Memorandum directs Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to mobilize the D.C. National Guard to address the city’s crime rate.

According to the memorandum, the Guard will remain mobilized until order is restored. The Secretary of Defense is also directed to coordinate with state governors to authorize additional National Guard units if needed.
