NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - The South Shore and many coastal areas have surely seen a lot of rain on Monday and there's now a Flood Advisory for the next few hours to be aware of.

The Flood Advisory is for Lafourche parish until 4 p.m. as this area has already seen significant rainfall up to 6-inches in some spots with another 2-inches possible.

You can expect there to be flooding so please be sure to drive with extra caution on the roadways and remember "turnaround don't drown."

As for the rest of us, some spots will continue to see rain this afternoon, but it's looking like the evening hours will be fairly quiet.
