ARLINGTON, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo Sector Border Patrol, in cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), apprehended two fugitives in Arlington.

On Monday, August 11, the Laredo Sector Border Patrol announced the arrest of two family members, Jose Vicente Ortiz Mendez and Pedro Luis Ortiz Mendez, who were wanted for murder in Mexico.

Reports indicate that the two fugitives illegally crossed the border and sought refuge in the U.S.; however, they were arrested by the three previously mentioned agencies and are to be deported and extradited.
