Quebec’s Transport Ministry is warning of a closure on Highway 25 this weekend due to work on the La Fontaine tunnel.

From Friday 11 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m., there will be a complete closure of Highway 25 towards the South Shore between exit 5 (Route 138, Hochelaga Street, Sherbrooke Street) and Souligny Avenue.

The La Fontaine tunnel will remain open and will be accessible from Souligny Avenue East.

The closure is required to add concrete on a permanent guardrail under the Souligny interchange.

The entrance from Sherbrooke Street will be closed 30 minutes before the complete closure of the highway.
