ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A recent report by the Anti-Defamation League showed a spike in anti-Semitic attacks in both Missouri and Illinois.

In the report, Illinois was ranked as “leading the way” in combating antisemitism.

The state was applauded for its Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes, along with recent legislation that allows victims of harassment to seek civil compensation.

Despite these policies, the ADL found a 59 percent increase in anti-semitic incidents in Illinois last year from the year before.

The ADL’s report also commended Missouri for establishing a Holocaust Education Commission in 2020 and a task force on nonprofit safety this year.
