Six items all UK drivers must remove from cars before Monday night

UK drivers are being advised to remove six items from their vehicles this weekend ahead of the forecasted hot spell, with another heatwave expected to sweep across the country.

Haypp's leading expert Markus Lindblad has issued a warning for motorists to take out certain items that could pose a risk in the sweltering heat. Markus highlighted fizzy drinks as the top item to remove, as they can burst under high temperatures, posing a serious safety hazard to drivers and passengers alike.

Sunglasses are the second item on Markus' list, with the expert cautioning: "When exposed to extreme temperatures, the heat can warp or even break the frame or the lenses, as well as cause the lenses to crack."
