APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - As Fox Valley kids get ready to head back to school, one local leader is being recognized nationwide for her work helping young people navigate stress, uncertainty, and emotional challenges.

According to a press release from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Carlyn Andrew, Chief Culture Officer at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley, received the National Impact Award at Boys & Girls Clubs of America's inaugural Trauma-informed Special Summit in Atlanta this summer.

The award, presented by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, honors a leader whose work has transformed how Clubs across the country respond to adversity and support kids' emotional well-being.
