ASOTIN COUNTY, Wash. — Two people died in an apparent murder-suicide Saturday evening at a residence in Asotin County, while two young children and their great-grandmother escaped harm, according to the Asotin County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a report of two unresponsive subjects at a home in the 1200 block of Boston Street Saturday evening. First responders discovered two deceased individuals inside the residence.

The investigation revealed that a male subject had shot a female subject before shooting himself, according to sheriff's officials. The firearm was recovered at the scene.

Two young children and their great-grandmother, who was caring for them in another part of the home, were not injured. No other individuals were involved in the shooting.
