CORTLAND Business is still booming at a Cortland restaurant as it just celebrated its grand opening under new ownership.

Wenona Herrmann has just assumed operations at The Local Tap & Grill, formerly known as Yellow Dog Saloon & Grill near Mosquito Lake and she says business is booming with over 500 people coming out to the grand opening event on Sunday.

"It was very overwhelming. All the people I've waited on before came, all the family members and a lot of the locals too," Herrmann said.

Herrman said after the demise of Chrissy's Lake Tavern due to a fire , there was a need for a local hangout spot by Mosquito Lake.
