PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria police are looking for the suspect in an early morning shooting.
Officers responded to the 4000 of Brandywine Drive around 2:10 a.m. Monday on a report of a man armed with a gun.
At the scene, a 24-year-old woman told officers a man physically assaulted her during an argument, then displayed a handgun and fired a shot before running from the scene.
Police say the woman sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The investigation continues.
