LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A Breastfeeding Awareness Fair will be held this Thursday, August 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Doctors Hospital of Laredo. The event is for new and soon-to-be moms who want to learn about breastfeeding and get support.
Lucy Agredano, a registered nurse and lactation consultant at Doctors Hospital, said the hospital has promoted breastfeeding for many years and hosts this annual event in honor of Breastfeeding Awareness Month. Many groups will be there to help, including WIC, Nurse Family Partnership, Texas Healthy Babies and Moms, Molina Healthcare, and the hospital’s feeding clinic. There will also be a booth about car seat safety.
